This listing is for the Silky Super Accel Blade only. It comes in two tooth sizes.
Fine tooth blade:
If you are cutting small branches and hard materials you would want to use the fine tooth blade. This is things like dead wood, building timber, and bamboo. It features a hollow-ground blade for reducing friction. The lack of tooth set results in a fast and easy cutting stroke. The Mirai-Me tooth style is a unique design by Silky, which provides an exceptional finish cut.
Large tooth blade:
The large tooth blade is a type of pruning blade designed for cutting medium to large branches. It features a hollow-ground blade for reducing friction. It also has a unique Mirai-Me tooth style for efficient cutting of dense and sappy timbers. The lack of tooth set makes the cutting stroke feel fast and easy.
The unique Mirai-Me tooth style of Silky saws results in a smooth cut, leaving the branch with a smooth surface resembling light sanding. This benefits the tree by reducing the chance of water and bacteria sitting on grooves in the timber, thereby allowing infection into the wound. This style of tooth also makes a larger cut in the timber than the width of the blade, therefore reducing the chance of the blade jamming in the cut.
The Silky Super Accel Blade is made from high-carbon steel SK4 for strength and flexibility, It is coated in Nickel for rust and resin protection. The blade features two settings – a standard saw blade angle and a second angle for cutting to a flat surface or for easier cutting around obstructing branches.
The handles of Silky saws are made of GOM, a special rubber designed by Silky Japan for comfort and grip. GOM absorbs vibrations during cutting and provides a good grip even in damp conditions. All parts of the saw, including screws, blades, and handles, are replaceable.
