This is the listing for the Silky Hayate Pole saw! A professional state-of-the-art, oval-shaped pole saw. Firstly the shape provides precise control over the direction of the blade (especially important for long poles) and helps to reduce the chance of damaging a pole during use.
Secondly, the base pole has a pole-end shock absorber and award-winning GOM rubber over-grip. The lower pole also has a wrist strap which can be attached at the top or bottom of the handle. This is designed to transfer the weight of the pole saw to your bicep rather than your neck.
LOCKING SYSTEM
The poles have a double locking system to assist the rigidity of the poles. There is a pin/button that holds the poles together and then a friction clamp that squeezes the poles holding them tight. Both of these locking systems keep the poles in place and also protect each system from damaging the other. The spring-loaded locking buttons have multiple length positions allowing you to have the pole extended at a variety of lengths.
BLADE
The 42cm curved blade has non-set, Silky MIRAI-ME style of teeth (Smooth Cutting Technology) – The Teeth of the Future! This style of tooth is precision-ground, and razor-sharp and provides an incredibly fast, clean and extremely smooth cutting style. The branch cut will seem as though you have given it a light sand after you finished cutting. Silky Japan has created a blade that gives practically no drag. They have hollow ground the blade. This means that the blade is narrowest in the center, then the spine of the blade is the next widest and the teeth are the widest part of the blade. Therefore when you make a cut the width of the wood removed is much larger than any part of the blade.
This dramatically reduces friction and resistance when cutting. It also reduces energy. The metal used for the blade and sickle can vary, but commonly used metals include carbon steel, stainless steel, and high-carbon steel. The choice of metal depends on the intended use and the desired level of durability and sharpness. The sickle is typically made from a strong, durable metal to withstand the pressure of cutting through small branches and palm fronds. The curved shaped blade works brilliantly in a pole saw application.
The Silky Hayate Pole saw features a bright yellow color on its rigid-plastic blade cover, which increases visibility and improves safety while using the tool. The Silky Hayate Pole saw has high visibility colours. All parts are replaceable and available. The Hayate pole saw is available in 4 lengths: 3.8 metres, 5 metres, 6.1 metres (This pole fully compacted down is 1.91 meters long) and 7.7 metres.
