Silky Gunman Builders Handsaw
The Silky Gunman Builders Handsaw is designed for cutting builder’s timber. It has a tooth style that is very aggressive and will cut very quickly. It has a hollow-ground blade, which reduces friction when cutting. This also allows the cutting stroke to feel very easy and fast.
The teeth are set and are what Silky calls a 4 Retsume tooth style. This saw has four rows of teeth that go through the timber with each stroke. This style of tooth also cuts a larger hole in the timber than the width of the blade, therefore reducing the chance of the blade jamming in the cut.
The blades are made out of strong, high-quality steel. Although very strong, this steel is also quite flexible, which is important in a handsaw. The blades are also coated to give them some protection from rust and resin. The handles are made out of a special rubber designed by Silky Japan. It is called GOM and is extremely comfortable to hold. It absorbs a lot of the vibrations you get when cutting and allows you to have a very good grip, even when your hands are damp. All parts are replaceable, so if you lose anything you can order replacement parts, i.e. screws, blades, handles, scabbards. This handsaw is available in a 24cm blade length.

The user must wear a hard hat and eye protection at all times. This product must be used within the Australian Standards and all applicable OHS regulations. It is the responsibility of the user to comply with all necessary precautions for safety. Improper use of this saw can cause serious or fatal injury. Do not cut above your head. The teeth on the saw blade are extremely sharp. Do not touch or contact the blade with any body part. Always store the saw blade in the provided safety cover when not in use. Keep out of reach of children.
