BLADE ASSEMBLY FOR THE FORESTER POLE SAW
Silky Forester Blade Complete. The ultra-sharp, high-grade steel blade includes a protective scabbard and a connector pipe.
FEATURES:
The blade is 38 cm long giving a fast and effortless cut. Silky Japan has coated the blade in Nickle to give rust protection qualities. Hollow grinding performed on the blades equal a super easy-to-use tool that leaves a beautiful smooth clean cut every time.
The tips of the teeth on the Silky Forester Blade Complete have been treated with an impulse hardening process to increase the life of tooth sharpness. This treatment makes the edge of the tooth last 3 times longer than if this procedure was not performed.
These Silky Saw blades are designed to work with minimal physical effort. Simply lean the saw on the branch or palm frond you desire to cut and rock from your front foot to your back foot. This movement should cause the blade to move downward and with the pressure of gravity and the shape of the tooth, the saw will dig into the material. The Silky blade is designed to only cut on the pull stroke. When guiding the blade forward, do so with very little pressure.
It is always important to imagine what might happen when you make your cut. If your branch is long there is a large chance that it will close up during your cut and grab onto your pole saw blade making it hard or impossible to continue cutting and free your blade. Instead, you could do a collar cut. This is when you cut about a foot away from the cut you want to make. You cut about 1/3 into the branch and then go to where you originally wanted to cut the branch. By doing this you give the branch somewhere else to move and close up, freeing the spot that you are cutting to not grab onto your blade.
