Karesuando Fisherman’s Knife ‘Johtalit’, Brown

The Karesuando Fisherman’s Knife ‘Johtalit’ Brown combines traditional Nordic craftsmanship with practical outdoor performance.  Perfect for anglers, adventurers, and everyday outdoor use. Handmade in the village of Karesuando, Sweden — located 250 km north of the Arctic Circle. This beautifully crafted fixed blade reflects generations of Scandinavian knife-making heritage.

The Johtalit features a durable Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel blade, hardened to 57 HRC for excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance. Its compact blade length of approximately 7.6–8.2 cm makes it ideal for fishing tasks, food preparation, camp duties, and general outdoor use.

The ergonomic handle combines oiled curly birch, genuine reindeer antler, and polished brass accents to create a knife that feels as good as it looks. The warm natural materials keep your grip firm in wet or freezing Arctic conditions while reducing hand fatigue and blistering during long days outdoors.

The traditional deep-pouch brown leather sheath secures the knife firmly to your belt and allows quick, safe one-handed access when needed. The maneuver-clipping sheath design holds the knife deeply in place for dependable carry in the bush, around camp, or out on the water.

Compact, lightweight, and handmade with premium natural materials, the Johtalit delivers the performance outdoor users expect from Karesuando Kniven while carrying the unmistakable character of Scandinavian craftsmanship.
