Our Enamelware rim is heat-treated to create a bronze-like patina finish. Both the plate surface and rim can be stripped of its unique coloring by acidic foods, such as lemon, and some harsh detergents and cleansers. Enamelware is dishwasher safe, but we recommend hand washing to help maintain the original look and feel of the pieces.

To hand wash: Use a gentle, natural cleanser. Soak the products in warm, soapy water to help remove baked-on food. Also gently wipe away residue. In addition, avoid using abrasive sponges or brushes as this may scratch the surface.

A: No, the rim on the enamelware is heat-treated stainless steel which gives it a bronze-like patina effect. This process will give a variety of tones making each rim unique.

Q: Is enamelware safe to use if it is chipped?
A: Enamelware is an extremely durable, strong material. Over time and with constant use, chips are possible. We recommend not using the product if there is a sharp crack that may cause injury. A small chip, however, will not affect the safety of the product.
